Day 1: Ek Balam - Valladolid - Balankanché

Transfer to the recently excavated Site Ek Balam, the place of the Black Jaguar. This site shows one of the most beautiful stucco friezes in the northern Yucatan. After exploring the ruins drive to the charming Center of Valladolid for a break in the shade of a colonial Patio. In the afternoon you will explore the magical underworld of Balankanché, a sacred ceremonial cave that remained undiscovered until 1959.

Drive to Hacienda San Jose Cholul. This luxury resort dates back to the 17th century and has been carefully restored. Enjoy the quietness and remoteness of the former Sisal Hacienda.

Day 2: A Day in Yucatan

In the morning visit of the small village of Tixkokob with its lively market and see how hammocks are being handmade. Visit the colonial church with its faded splendor and learn more about the conquest of Yucatan. Tour the little known site Ake, ancient Maya Center and Sisal Hacienda that still produce the fiber called Henequen. Afterwards visit at Izamal, the city of the three culture. Visit of the large convent of San Antonio de Pádua that gives home to the saint patron of Yucatan.

Day 3: Merida and the Celestun Reserve

City tour in Merida, the bustling capital of Yucatan state with its colonial palaces, shady parks and busy markets. Transfer to Celestun where you undertake a boat tour to the natural habitat of fascinating colonies of pink flamingos. While you are gliding through the mangroves you can observe many other species of endangered birds.

In the afternoon, drive on Yucatan's back roads to the Hacienda Santa Rosa. Dating back to the 18th century, this Hacienda was originally dedicated to cattle and corn farming and later to the production of sisal fiber. Abandoned for years and only recently restored, you can enjoy again the great character and dignity of the colonial architecture.

Day 4: Uxmal and the Puuc Architecture

After a delicious breakfast drive to the Mayan site Uxmal, one of the highlights of Mayan architecture. Discover the grandeur and rich decorated temples and palaces, like the Governor's Palace, the Nunnery Quadrangle and the Pyramid of the Magician. Day 5: Ancient capital Chichén Itzá and a refreshing swim in a Cenote

Transfer to Chichén Itzá and guided tour through this monumental archaeological site. Discover the Temple of Warriors, the Great Ball Court and climb the famous Kukulkan pyramid.
